Hi. My name is Mathilda.

I am a Seattle-based artist. I am also sometimes a cellist, occasionally a pianist, very rarely a double bassist (special occasions only), and definitely not a bassoonist (though I am currently trying pretty hard!)

 

My work often draws inspiration from my love for nature and animals. I enjoy exploring different ways to make pretty things, and showing them to my friends and making them smile. The world is a lonely place, and I see art and music as ways to have a profound emotional connection with someone without ever having to meet them.

My favorite mediums are watercolor, colored pencils, stone, and Precious Metal Clay (PMC).

When I am not making art, playing music, or working my day job in tech, in the perfect world I would be diligently studying math, physics, or a third language (the non-visual pretty things!), but in reality, you will most likely find me cuddling with my pets or tending to an excessive amount of house plants.
